One of the things I like most about what I do is that it helps me connect with friends I haven't talked to in a long time. Aja, the bride, and I go way back. We sang in a choir together growing up, and even took some international trips together with the organization. When Aja and her fiance, Sjukree, contacted me all the way from New York to do their wedding stationery, I was ecstatic!
The invitation suite featured pops of pink, coral and gold, and we used a fun confetti wrapper to give the design an extra touch. Aja's bridesmaids' dresses had gold polka-dots on them, so this was a fun day to tie the invitation into the actual celebration. We used pale coral envelopes to help the invitations stand out against boring bills in the mail!
Aja and Shukree also had me design a lot of fun touches for the day of the wedding. I created brightly colored programs to continue the design of the invitations to the ceremony. Each place setting had a menu and the escort cards were personalized for each guest and continued the theme of the invitations.
One of my favorite details were the signs I created for the reception. Aja and Shukree encouraged guests to tag photos of the wedding on Instagram. They also had signs for a Cigar Bar, Cab Rides, and a St. Louis Favorite - Ted Drewes Frozen Custard.
I absolutely loved working with an old friend on her wedding stationery, and it was a pleasure to create these items for her special day. Thank you to Tiffany and Amanda at Events Luxe for their fabulous wedding planning services, and to Shay Cochrane for the beautiful photos!
