Katie and Teddy are the loveliest people, and it was SO much fun working with them. They got married at St. Louis Country Club, an awesome venue complete with its own polo fields!
The save the dates were tiny and dainty, and featured a design based on the string lights that were going to light up the reception. They introduced the look and feel of the overall invite suite, and helped the guests get excited for this romantic affair!
The invitations themselves were two-color letterpressed onto thick cotton paper, with a coordinating RSVP card, and a fun navy envelope liner. The suite was classic and pretty, just like the bride. Can we talk about that bouquet and those shoes?
The programs continued the classic and pretty theme of the invitations. They were flat printed on cotton paper, with a sleek, satin, navy ribbon to complete the look.
The reception was set up with three long family-style tables. I created this seating chart to help guests find their places. This welcomed guests into the reception with some style!
Each person had a place setting that looked comfortable and inviting, yet elegant and beautiful. Katie and Teddy went to John Burroughs School, where they met when they were younger. John Burroughs has bee hives and makes its own honey, so the bride and groom gave guests these cute little jars of the honey as favors. I created custom labels for each jar, and a place card for each guest.
Each guest also had a menu, flat printed on cotton paper and mounted to gray cotton paper. These were placed over a blush napkin and tied with satin ribbon.
It was such a pleasure to work with this great couple. Katie was SO patient, especially during a last-minute printing fiasco with the day-of paper. Sometimes things just don't go as planned, but turn out wonderful at the end.
I'd like to thank Kristin Ashley Events for introducing me to this couple, and for coordinating and designing the prettiest wedding ever. I would also like to thank Lisa Hessel Photography for the absolutely beautiful photos!
